Why these businesses.
One of us worked at a security firm, the other at a civil engineering contractor. We spent school holidays answering phones, filling in timesheets and watching our managers finish the day's real work and then start the paperwork later on. Rotas were rebuilt every Thursday night. Applications were added up by hand. Invoices waited for someone to have a spare hour. None of it was anyone's fault; the software on offer was built for somebody else's business. We have since worked in banks, trading firms and startups, and we kept coming back to the same thought: these businesses deserve systems built around them. That is why Vardil exists.
A letter from the founders
Every business we work with was built by someone who knows the trade better than any software company ever will. Our job is to learn how that business works and build the system around it, not the other way round.
We started Vardil because we watched good businesses spend their evenings on paperwork that a well-built system could do in seconds. We would rather show you something working on your own data than promise you anything.
At the moment, we are looking for businesses to work with completely free of charge.
